Jennifer Byers, teaching artist

Jennifer grew up in Chicago, IL and from a young age studied tap, jazz, and ballet at the School of Performing Arts. She earned a BFA in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University, and since graduating has danced with companies across the country, including Ad Deum in Houston, Tapestry in Chicago, and Atmosphere in NYC. She serves as a stage manager and guest artist with Project Dance, making dance accessible to public audiences around the world. Jennifer has taught dance in a variety of private studios, universities, public schools, and community programs, and loves engaging students through movement as a form of expression that allows us to learn and grow together.
