Liethis Hechavarria, teaching artist

Liethis is a multidisciplinary dance teaching artist and performer who specializes in Latin, Afro-Carribean, Latin Jazz and creative movement for youth. With experience teaching students of all ages across schools, community programs, and arts organizations, she creates inclusive, culturally responsive classes that encourage self-expression, confidence, and joy. Her work as an educator focuses on storytelling through movement, rhythm exploration, and building strong foundational technique in a supportive environment. Passionate about arts access, she is dedicated to fostering meaningful connections with students and inspiring them to discover their own creative voice through dance.
