Aimee Grumbach is originally from San Francisco, CA where she attended the San Francisco Ruth Asawa School of the Arts. She received a Bachelor in Fine Arts in dance and composition and a minor in Sociology with an emphasis on racial inequality and collective memory from the State University of New York at Purchase (SUNY Purchase). Aimee works as a freelance dancer and choreographer in New York City. She has performed in the Battery Dance Festival, the Dance Bloc Festival at Dixon Place, and the American Dance Guild Festival. While at SUNY Purchase, she performed works by choreographers such as Netta Yerushalmy, Trisha Brown, José Limón, and Deborah Lohse. Aimee is passionate about teaching and arts education. She is excited to work as a teaching artist with Notes in Motion.
