Cecilia Whalen, teaching artist
Artist Ensemble
Cecilia Whalen is an NYC-based dancer, choreographer, writer, and educator. She is a graduate of the Martha Graham School for Contemporary Dance with a concentration in composition and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a bachelor's in French. Cecilia has attended intensives at American Dance Festival, the Taylor School, and the Martha Graham School and has performed professionally with the Merce Cunningham Trust. She has worked with students of Manhattan Youth Afterschool, the Boys and Girls Club of Charlotte, and the Martha Graham School, leading classes in modern, ballet, and creative movement.
