Dustin James was born in New Orleans and grew up in Houston, TX. He received his training from the High School for the Performing Arts and Visual Arts and Houston Ballet where he was a member of Houston Ballet II. He has performed professionally with BalletMet Columbus, Smuin Contemporary Ballet, Dance Theatre of Harlem and is currently performing with MorDance. James’ repertoire includes works by Morgan McEwen, Anabelle Lopez Ochoa, Darrell Grand Moultrie, Michael Smuin, Stanton Welch, Jiri Killian, Helen Pickett, Dwight Rhoden, Ma Cong, Ulysses Dove, David Nixon, George Balanchine, and Robert Garland.
