Lydia Crozier is a Hunter College Muse Scholar and holds a BA/MA in K-12 Dance Education from the Arnhold Graduate Dance Education Program, and Hunter’s Arts Management & Leadership Certificate. While at Hunter, she served as the Secretary of the Student Advisory Council in the Dance Department, and is Vice President and founding member of Reformed University Fellowship at Hunter College. During her studies Lydia was an assistant teacher with Natalie Swan at PS 56 Brooklyn and with Jessica Danser at Talent Unlimited High School in Manhattan. She has experience teaching various dance styles including ballet, Horton, modern techniques, improvisation, creative movement, Pilates, yoga, and beginner hip hop. Lydia's dance performance credits include soloist roles in Marta Renzi's Skybridge, Sidra Bell's Human(e) Encounter, Pedro Ruiz's Daughters of the Wind and Christian Von Howard's Cypher.
In addition to her dance background, Lydia is also trained in voice and acting. Her classical vocal performance credits include Haydn's Creation and Handel's Messiah with the Central Chamber Choir. Theatre credits include Joffrey Musical Theater's Legally Blonde (Elle Woods), Harrison Footlight Players' Me and My Girl (Lady Jacquie), for which she was nominated a Lohud Metropolitan Award for Best Supporting Actress, and Seussical (Bird Girl), for which she was nominated Best Featured Ensemble. She was also selected by the New York State School Music Association to perform with the All-State Treble Choir and the Area All-State Mixed Choir. This is Lydia's first season with Notes in Motion.
