Lauren Olsen, teaching artist

Lauren Olsen, originally from Farmington, Minnesota, grew up training at Betty Jo’s Dance Studio in styles of ballet, tap, jazz, and contemporary. She graduated with her BA in Dance and Business concentrating in Teaching and Arts and Media Management from Marymount Manhattan College in 2025. There she trained and performed with various faculty including Nancy Lushington, Sheila Barker, Geoffrey Doig-Marx, Monique Smith, and Megan Williams. She has worked as an administrative intern for Ballet Co.Laboratory and Artichoke Dance Company and teaches on staff at Steffi Nossen School of Dance and Center for Movement. Lauren enjoys sharing her love for dance with her students and creating a positive, supportive environment where they can build confidence and curiosity, develop technique, and express themselves through movement.
