Andrea Torres, teaching artist

Andrea Torres is a dance and performance artist from New Orleans, Louisiana. She trained at the New Orleans Center for the Creative Arts, where she majored in Dance. She received her B.F.A. in Dance Performance from Columbia College Chicago. During her time in Chicago, she performed works by Merce Cunningham, Timothy Buckley, and Bob Eisen. Andrea continued her training in South Korea, studying a range of street styles with a focus on break dance. She most recently made her professional theatre debut as Veronica in MF With a Hat and as Dance Caption in Jagged Little Pill at Redhouse Arts Center.
